  22.                         DOOM 1.2 Modem Competition Application

  25.  Welcome to the Doom Modem Competition Application. This application
  26.  was created by Michael Williams aka Silicon Soldier, an ID beta tester,
  27.  to help Doom modem players in the VA-MD-DC metro area get in touch with
  28.  each other.
  29.  
  30.  This form serves two purposes.
  31.    1. To assist Doom modem players in contacting other players.
  32.    2. Enter players into the Death Match Competition (DMC)
  33.  
  34.  In the DMC players will pit their skills against other players in Death Match
  35.  Mode.
  36.  
  37.  DMC players will be paired off, the winner of a 3 game match will move on to
  38.  the next round. Winners from each will be paired off with winners from other
  39.  competitions until a champion is found.
  40.  
  41.  ■ Requirements for DMC:

  43.    1. 9600+ Modem
  44.    2. Registered DOOM
  45.    3. An unmodified DOOM.WAD file.
  46.    4. Player must already have their modem strings working with Doom.

  49.  ■ Rules for Competition:

  51.    1. Game #1 will be played in Episode #1, Knee Deep in the Dead
  52.       Game #2 will be played in Episode #2, Shores of Hell
  53.       Game #3 (if needed) will be played in Episode #3, Inferno

  55.       The level at which these games will be played is left up to the
  56.       players.

  58.    2. No Cheating Allowed. Any reports of cheating will immediately
  59.       disqualify the accused player from competition.
